LIFT - Independent Travel Training

National Star College is working in partnership with a range of county councils to increase independent travel through the multi award winning LIFT Programme.

LIFT is an inclusive programme which provides a range of services to support disabled, disadvantaged and vulnerable people to access their local communities through a range of transport options. LIFT has a 90% success rate and provides independent travel training to access school, college, employment, training and other positive activities.

LIFT is a free programme that offers independent travel training with the support of a Travel Mentor who will work 1:1 to practise and range of practical travel skills.
