At the Star College, we’ve teamed our highly-effective fundraising team with a number of local and national businesses to create and develop mutually beneficial partnerships. Here are just some examples:
BPE Corporate Support
With a pledge to raise £40,000 for the College Star Appeal, BPE Solicitors celebrated America’s Independence Day with a softball tournament in the College grounds. Over 100 people from the local business community took part, with teams from Allcooper, Barclays Bank, BPE, DTZ, Hazlewoods, Moss Construction and Anixter Fasteners vying for the tournament title! The event raised over £1,300.
On a completely different theme, BPE also staged a ladies’ pamper evening at the College, attracting over 80 guests from the local area. Companies including Blushes, Feva, Floyd Shows and Cowley Manor supported the event, which raised over £1,500.
Allcooper
Security and fire specialists, Allcooper have set a company goal to raise £20,000 for the College with a year-long series of fun events. To date, they have
- Invited six teams from local business to join College students for wheelchair basketball and three-legged football
- organised a skittles tournament with 16 teams from local businesses
- raised more than £1,000 in sponsorship after running the Forest of Dean half marathon
