Avon Metals Supporting Learning at National Star College

Avon Metals have donated a generous £5,000 to local charity National Star College to fund an exciting project that will improve College students’ opportunity to learn in an outside environment. As well as donating the money to do the project staff from Avon Metals will also provide the man hours to help complete it.

Avon Metals, who are nominated for two awards at the upcoming Citizen and Echo Business Awards, are a leading aluminium recycling and metals trading company based locally in Gloucester.

Steven Munnoch, Chief Executive of Avon Metals said about supporting the charity:

“Philanthropy is an important element of our company ethos, and as part of our ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility strategy and commitment to the county of Gloucestershire and its people, Avon Metals is delighted to have  partnered with the National Star College to fund an environmental project in the College grounds. This new project will enable students to take part in numerous activities outdoors whilst they are at College. In addition Avon staff have also volunteered to help in ground clearance and construction.”

“We are really grateful to Avon Metals for the fantastic support they are giving us. Funding like this enables us to complete projects that really benefit students here and ensures we can carry on with our life-changing work with disabled young adults from across the UK.”
